This simple square shawl reflects the rustic landscape of Nova Scotia. The original was made in Shetland from Last Resort Farm in Malagash, Nova Scotia.

The yarn is available seasonally at The Loop in Halifax, and the shawl could be purchased as a kit. This is a local, artisanal yarn, though, so supplies were limited.

The garter stitch centre panel is knitted circularly and finished with a contrasting knitted-on edging. The pattern includes illustrated instructions for the invisible ring cast-on.
