This is the original version of the vintage pattern.

Yarn is described as “three thread”. Pattern says “1 lb yarn makes 3 pairs of socks.” Jaggerspun 3/8 yarn is the best modern equivalent.

No gauge is given. Calls for size 13 needles. These are equivalent to a modern US size 1 needle (metric size 2.25 mm).
