Ice Scraper Mitts

Two years ago I designed these mitts to put over ice scrapers for Christmas gifts. the ones for the men are plain stockinette with stripes and the ones for the women have a fun fur cuff. They were very well received. Here is the original post to the knitlist followed by the pattern.

Subject: Knitted Ice Scraper Mitt - Gift
Pattern
I came up with this idea to go along with hats I'm making for
Christmas gifts. It fits around a purchased ice scraper to keep your hand warm
when scraping the car windows. I had sewed some out of fleecy fur
several years ago and decided to try to design the knit version. The first
version is more appropriate for a man's gift and the second for a woman since it
has a fur cuff.

This makes a very inexpensive gift. I purchased the
ice scapers at a Speedway gas station for 99 cents ( Mallory brand). I
used Red Heart Supersaver for the men's version and a combination of Lion Brand
Fun Fur and Red Heart Supersaver for the women's.
