bevs-scarf-for Christopher

I've made them for all my kids, several Missionaries, and it is my husband's favorite scarf of all time!  His was made on #10 needles and it is so wide he would fold it in half in really blizzardy weather We lived in Upper Michigan when I made this for him.  He still has it and uses it when we head north!  These are lovely to take to homeless shelters, and veterans homes.

Size 10 knitting needles
2 - 3 colors 4 ply worsted yarn (approx. 6 -7 oz total)

Using size 10 needles Gauge = 6 rows =1"

Cast on 39 sts in first color (29 sts for kids)
K1, p1 across row.
Repeat this row, changing colors as you wish, or every 12 rows, until you reach desired length.  For adults it should be at least 5  - 6 feet long, for children 3-4 feet long).   Add a fringe across top and bottom if desired.
