These baby booties are a breeze to knit: adaptable to almost any yarn, just by changing your needle size, they are fun and fast! Best of all, the pattern is FREE.

This pattern is adapted from a whole bunch of incomprehensible booty patterns. Its perfect for a slightly oversized yarn: here, we use it with our super soft knitting yarn in baby alpaca …just PERFECT for little tootsies.

SIZING Size: newborn to 9 mos

Yarn: 1 skein of any medium weight yarn: see our baby alpaca
for a good example. You’ll be able to do a hat with the leftovers!

Needles: size 7/8 with a medium to bulky yarn, size 6/7 with a smaller, tighter gauge yarn. This will vary depending on how rigid or floppy you want the booties to end up - it’s not hard and fast.

Gauge: You want about 3-4 stitches per inch in garter to make this work.

You can go down in needle size to make the overall size smaller. It may take a try or two, but these go very quickly once you get the hang of it!
