Recapture your circular sanity with this hanging circular needle organizer. It sorts your circulars by length (on vertical cables) and needle size (with horizontal stripes).

  • Never again waste time or money due to “lost” circular needles.
  • Keep your circulars (and yourself!) nice and relaxed, ready to go to work without kinks or twists.
  • This is a relatively quick project, and an artful way to use and display small leftover quantities of your favorite yarns.
  • Includes a pocket for your needle sizer.
  • Needle sizes are embroidered along the left edge, and lengths above each rope cable.
  • A handy length gauge helps you sort your needles (see more detailed explanation below.)

Update: The pattern now includes metric specifications.

Regarding the length gauge: The column of numbers on the right side of the needle organizer is a length gauge, a way to quickly, approximately measure the length of your circulars so they can be sorted onto the correct “length” cable in an efficient way …

How to use the length gauge: Hold your circular tip even with the mark by the arrow, and see which measurement appears to be half of the length. Then pinch the circular cord at that number, and hold that spot up at the arrow mark and see where the bottom tip falls. Voila! You have the approximate length!
