Note: These stockings are knitted toe up in an easy rib pattern, but you can stop and cast off at any point so why not make trainer socks (with a pink bow at the heel to stop it slipping into the shoe), or ankle socks, or knee highs instead.

These romantic vintage inspired stockings are made from Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock Multi in the Flamingo stripe shade. 20% of the profits made from the sales of this yarn go to breast cancer charities so we designed something that was romantic and feminine whilst incorporating the iconic pink ribbon everyone associates with this cause.

Pattern contains full instructions for short row heel and toe using wrap and turn method with double wraps.

Thanks to the above who donated their time free of charge in order to raise awareness for women’s cancer charities.

Also, thanks to my mother, Ann Marie, for her name which is given to this project and who lost her battle against ovarian cancer in 1995.
