May09:

Thanks to lovely bergeronnette50 who has translated Kit’s Cape into French, it is now possible to download a French version of the pattern.

I am sorry, I made some changes to this pattern on November 13th, but I can’t contact people directly because the pattern was free. The changes are as follows:

I have amended the file, but if you just want to annotate your existing pattern, kfb should of course be knit into back and front of same stitch, and the first three rows are as follows:
Row 1: Place markers as follows- knit 5 sts, pm, knit 4 sts, pm, knit 7 sts, pm, knit 4 sts, pm, knit 5 sts.
Row 2 (start moss st border): k1, p1, k1, purl to last 3 sts (slipping markers), k1, p1, k1.
Row 3 (increase row): k1, p1, k1, k to two sts before marker, kfb, k1, slip marker, k1, kfb, repeat from to last 3 sts, k1, p1, k1 (N.B. this row should thus be as follows:
k1, p1, k1, kfb, k1, slip marker, k1, kfb, kfb, k1, slip marker, k1, kfb, k3, kfb, k1, slip marker, k1, kfb, kfb, k1, slip marker, k1, kfb, k1, p1, k1)

I hope this is clearer and apologise for any confusion.

Nov 18th: Total stitch count for the hood after increases should be 50 sts, of course, and not 46. This has been corrected in the version uploaded today.
