I blended textured stitches with cables and emroidery, creating a sample that shows off both the knitter’s skills and the depth of baby love. As my own children grow and develop their own ideas about fashion, I enjoy even more making baby items for friends.’ Modesitt’s cabled and ribbed full-length onesie, made in Anny Blatt’s ‘Baby Blatt’ and cinched with twisted-cord ties, blooms with embroidered flowers and freeform crochet.
