Jess’s Easy Shawlette is a light-weight accessory. Start at the point of the triangle with 8 chain stitches, and increase each row. You can increase the length and width of the shawlette by adding more rows. If you do, however, you’ll need additional yarn. After two set-up rows, the rest of the shawlette is a single row repeat. The edging is essentially the same pattern as the body of the shawlette.

The shawlette measures 68 inches across and 20 and 1/2 inches at the deepest point after light blocking.

I will be working on a dk weight version of the shawlette and will post information about yarn and hook and will add photos very soon.

Please send me a message if you have any questions about the pattern.

If you would like to try the pattern using a dk weight yarn, try Rowan’s Summerspun 50 cotton/50 wool. I used a “G” hook, and I used 4 balls of Summerspun. Instead of making 51 rows according to the pattern, I completed the shawlette with 43 rows and then added the edging. Will be blocking the shawlette and adding photos.
