Do you love doilies, but don’t know where to put them all?

Not a problem, if you make the doily that’s a hat! Doily Hat is a variation on the Polonaise Small Knitted Doily pattern. Doily Hat is free, but you will need the original Polonaise pattern to knit this project, or use a different doily pattern. Both are for experienced beginner to intermediate knitters.

This pattern is knitted in the round from the center top of the hat outwards. This makes size adjustments very easy. It is in an easy lace pattern, ending in stretchy ribbing. Instructions are included for blocking.

We have tried a variety of yarns with this pattern. For those with larger hat sizes, try worsted weights. Sport weight yarn will yield a smaller hat.

While you cannot make or sell copies of this pattern, you do have permission to sell your completed doilies. Happy knitting!

Note: Besides being available here on Ravelry, Polonaise is also available on the Knit Picks website, as part of A Trio of Knitted Doilies.

If you have questions, I’d be happy to help. Just send a PM or join our group, Tinyknitters. Thanks!
