“Don’t blink. Don’t even blink. Blink and you’re dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don’t turn your back, don’t look away, and DON’T blink.”

I’ve been going through previous seasons of the latest incarnation of the Dr. Who series, and became inspired by the episodes featuring the Weeping Angels (Blink, The Time of Angels, Flesh and Stone).

“Weeping Angel” is a lace sock, knit from the top down to emulate the wings of stone angels. I am providing it in one size, but it can be shrunk or enlarged by altering gauge. This sock fits my ladies’ size 9.5 feet (average width) snugly, but has cling and stretch due to the lace pattern. Rather small-footed folks may wish to go down a needle size or two and use finer yarn.

We are out of testknit! Many thanks to my testknitters: Frogdog, Lhiabelle, Cpolk and ZaynaZan! That said, if there are any outstanding errors, please let me know so that I may update the pattern :D
