Tulipe is a small to medium sized doily with elements from the Estonian lace knitting tradition. The nupps echo the yarn over pattern, creating graceful V shaped lines near the edge of this round doily.

Tulipe is recommended for intermediate knitters. The knitting is done in the round, with nupps, yarn overs, triple yarn overs, and several different decreases. This pattern has a crochet bind-off, though other bind-offs may be substituted. Both written instructions and two charts are included.

Tulipe is offered as a Ravelry download, and also for purchase at Knit Picks.

Maximum width of this doily is 11” or 28 cm using fingering weight yarn. Size will vary depending upon your
yarn weight, needle size, and knitting gauge.

You will need the following to complete your doily:

4 double pointed needles, approximately US size 2 - 4, 2.75 - 3.50 mm, depending upon your gauge
Stitch marker, optional
Fingering or light fingering weight yarn, under 100 yards or 91 meters (most will use between 60 and 75 yards)
Needle for weaving in yarn ends
Small crochet hook to suit your yarn, US size C, D, or E, or 2.75 - 3.50 mm

While you cannot make or sell copies of this pattern, you do have permission to sell your completed doilies.
