This pattern was inspired by Amy Lehman’s Penguin Ear Flap child hat

I was going to Sea World the day after Christmas and wanted a cute activity-appropriate hat to wear in the cold while watching the aquatic animals, but I didn’t like the idea of just crocheting a child’s pattern with a bigger hook to make it adult size (I don’t like my hats to be so holey), so I decided to just redo the whole thing so it would be my size and still look like the picture.
